The Lastest From Artist Daniel A. Moore "MAXIMUM BLOCK"
The Beveled Edge Online is very pleased to announce that the new Daniel Moore print depicting Terrence Cody's game winning field goal block against Tennessee now has a title and is available for pre-publication orders. In a similar fashion to his previous work, "Desperation Block", Daniel Moore's new print will be titled "Maximum Block", referring to the name of the defensive scheme that was called. This print will be offered at a special pre-publication price until 12/7/09. The image will be 25” x 18.75” and is expected to be released in early 2010. Any prints ordered before 12/7/09 will include a limited edition pencil sketch of the print for free. The pencil sketches will be 11" x 14" and will be released on 12/11/09, in time for Christmas. The artist notes, "As was the case with Desperation Block, my 1991 painting of Alabama's blocked field goal effort by Penn State, this painting is also titled after the name of the defensive scheme that was called." Guessing that the Vols were not going to attempt a fake, Coach Saban called for his "maximum block" unit–sending all 11 players after the ball. Moreover, Maximum Block is, as the artist explains, his portrayal of “… the Maximum defensive effort given, by the Maximum number of players on the field (including the Maximum size of the field-goal blocker!), in order to preserve a win of Maximum importance.” "THE BLOWOUT"
